I am well versed in technology, including website upkeep, Google Suite, computer help, graphic design, and social media marketing.
Social Media Marketing
I believe social media marketing is an important aspect of a successful library. I have experience with marketing library programs and resources via social media. I am confident in my ability to create social media images and campaigns. During my time in libraries, I have had the opportunity to create social media posts and organize social media campaigns. I keep up with social media trends, and utilize that information to better serve patrons and share library information. As a library technician, I came into a library that had zero online presence. I created an Instagram to keep students up-to-date with library information. Below I share a posts from the @centerhighlibrary instagram page. As a youth services librarian, I created and posted images to promote my programs and library resources and information. For example, I created and share a promotional flyer for the Adulting 101 program which went viral and was shared almost 1,000 times, reached over 100,000 people, and had over 12,000 engagements. Below I have shared social media posts I have created. As a library branch supervisor at the Yolo County Library, I have had the opportunity to be on our social media committee. I have been able to create social media posts and campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.

Website
While stepping into the role of library technician, I came to be in charge of a library that had no online presence. I created the library website, so the students could access library resources on their own time and when they are not on campus. To create this website, I did some research by looking at other high school library websites and talking with students about what they’d like to see on the website. This allowed me to see exactly what students need and want on their high school library. With this in mind, I created a user friendly website, with information that students may need when they are home working on homework or not able to come into the library.

When I began as Youth Services Librarian at the El Dorado County Library, I refreshed the teen services section of the website. I also worked on other pages on the website, and trained staff members on using WordPress.
