I have extensive experience with managing budgets. As a library technician, I was the sole person in charge of the library budget. I am organized with all that I do but especially budgets. With my given budget at the Center High School Library, I used those funds to purchase new books, materials, mending supplies, and office supplies for the year. As a youth services librarian, I was responsible for the children’s and teens programming budgets for two branches. I was also responsible for the budgets for several collection development funds for 3 library branches. As library branch supervisor, I keep track of several budgets including branch supplies and Friends of the Library funding. As library branch supervisor, I prepare and present budget requests for programming, outreach, collection support, and special projects to the Friends of the Library organization each year. I have created several google sheets to keep track of the budgets I am responsible for. I keep diligent track of each purchase and order and when it is received.
